Road closure – Gorley Road


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the Traffic Authority, Hampshire County Council, owing to works in connection with ford repairs considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of C159 Gorley Road Ringwood, between its junction with Northfield Road and its junction with Ellingham Drove.


From the northern point of closure, west via Ellingham Drove to its junction with A338 Salisbury Road; south via Salisbury Road to its junction with Northfield Road; east via Northfield Road to the southern point of closure and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 7th May 2013 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 days between 0900hrs and 1530hrs only on each day)

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
