Ever wish there was more to Christmas than bad television and too much food?

Many charities are desperate for people to lend a helping hand over the festive season. But they do need to plan ahead, so if you are thinking of volunteering this Christmas, now’s the time to find out what opportunities are available.

Foodbanks need people to help at collections for Christmas foodbanks at supermarkets, especially on the first weekend of December. You may also be able to help foodbanks to pack Christmas hampers to go out to local families in crisis this Christmas.  Or maybe you could help and older person who may experience isolation and loneliness. Lots of charities need help not only on Christmas day but also leading up it to.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering at Christmas or would like to volunteer on a more regular basis please come and speak to our volunteering ambassadors. They will be at Ringwood Gateway on Wednesday 3 December between 10.30am–12noon and Fordingbridge Library on Wednesday 10 December between 10.30am–12.30pm.
