“Update on dog fatalities in the Ogdens area of the New Forest, 25 March 2013
There have still been no new cases since 1st March. Six further possible cases occurring prior to 1st March have recently come to light, making a total of 12 possible cases to date.Continue Reading
National Trust walks – Dates announced
There will be a guided walk ‘open day’ provided by the National Trust at Rockford Common 
on Saturday 20th April. We are able to offer three walks during the day, times being:
10:00am, 11:30am and 13:00pm, lasting 1hr approx. Maximum number of person’s for each walk 20. This is for a more manageable group and to limit impact. Booking is essential, please call the National Trust office at Burgate on 01425 650035.

Statement from the National Trust regarding ‘Forest Fit’
In an eMail to the council The National Trust has said:
We have issued a 6 month licence to the Forest Fit Club in line with our consultation period which includes consent from N(atural) E(ngland). This will be the only licence for a fitness club issued on these commons. This shorter than usual period will allow us to measure and control the use of the commons by this particular group ready for review at the end of the term. Within the licence we have restricted the use to twice daily (rather than the current 3 times daily).
