The following notice has been received from the Hampshire Country Watch team on Thursday 7th March 2013.
It has been brought to our attention that up to nine dogs have died after being walked in the Ogdens area of the Forest in the last ten days. The cases are currently being investigated by the Forestry Commission with support from the Environment Agency and New Forest District Council. Natural England remains in close contact with partners and is available to support the enquiry if required.
If your dog becomes ill after walking on the Forest please seek veterinary attention immediately.

There will be a guided walk ‘open day’ provided by the National Trust at Rockford Common on Saturday 20th April, meeting at the Sandpit Car park. It will provide an opportunity to meet the National Trust team and understand their work in the New Forest. Details of times will follow in the next newsletter.
This year’s Annual Parish Meeting The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Tuesday 23 April at Ellingham Church Hall at 7.30pm. Pop the date in your diary and come along to hear the Chairman’s Annual Report, this year’s Guest Speaker Lee Hulin, an Outdoors Ranger for the National Trust, and take the opportunity to address the Parish Council and the Guest Speaker on any topics that of concern within the Parish. Topped off with some nibbles and refreshments, we look forward to welcoming you!

Over the last year Moyles Court School has been extensively researching ways to improve the internet service needed at the school. Part of this research included whether they might also be able to help bring faster broadband to the wider parish, large areas of which suffer from very slow connection speeds.Continue Reading
